Jamie Phlegar, M.A.

Jamie Phlegar, M.A., is an Associate at edCount, LLC. Ms. Phelgar contributes to business development initiatives, helps plan and write proposals, and supports senior staff with various writing projects, including reports, articles, and technical documentation. She has supported several large-scale alignment evaluation studies by helping create study materials, plan the study, analyze data, and write reports. She also supported an item development project for New York by proofreading items and supporting item writer trainings.

Prior to joining edCount, she worked at Empowered Women International, a small non-profit whose mission is to create jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for immigrant, refugee, low-income, and at-risk women in the Greater Washington DC Metro Area. Ms. Phlegar earned her M.A. in Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communication, and a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish from James Madison University (JMU). During her graduate studies, Ms. Phlegar taught an introductory writing course to freshmen students at JMU.
